When and where is Logan BookFest 2026?

Saturday 24 October 2026, 9am–4pm at Beenleigh Events Centre, Kent St, Beenleigh QLD 4207.

Is the venue indoors?

Yes. New location for 2026 — it’s an indoor, air-conditioned location.

What time is bump in?

Bump in starts from 7:30am.

Who can apply?

Authors, artists, creators, bookish makers, community-minded businesses, food vendors, and people wanting to run readings, talks, presentations or workshops.

What are the ways to be involved?

You can apply for one or more of these:

  • Display table

  • Free book reading

  • Free talk or presentation

  • Premium paid workshop

What is included with a display table?

A display table gives you a dedicated space in the main event area. Each space allows for one 1.8m trestle table and 2chairs.

Do I need to bring my own table?

You can bring your own, or request one to be supplied. Supplied trestle tables are limited and cost an additional $5 per booking.

How much does a site cost?

Author site fees are $40 + GST. Food vendor site fees are $50 + GST.

Do I pay when I apply?

No payment is required when you submit the form. If your application is accepted, you’ll receive an invoice.

Do I need public liability insurance?

Yes. You can upload your policy, arrange your own before the event, or add it to your order when fill in the application form.

Can I run a free book reading?

Yes. Readings are short, engaging sessions designed to give attendees a taste of your work. They may be grouped together so visitors can enjoy multiple authors in one sitting.

Can I run a free talk or presentation?

Yes. Free workshops and presentations are around 30 minutes and should offer simple, inspiring insights for readers or new writers.

What are Premium Workshops?

Premium Workshops are pre-booked, paid sessions designed to deliver deeper, practical value. Attendees reserve and pay for their spot in advance, and presenters are compensated based on participant numbers.
